HISTORY

Hartzell Memorial is a church where people can get connected and involved, no matter the age or background.  We exist to create an environment of love and acceptance. We are a growing congregation in the heart of Chicago's Bronzville community, offering children & youth ministries, adult small groups, and opportunities to serve the broader community.

Located on South King Drive in Chicago's Bronzeville community, across from Lake Meadows, Hartzell's worship experience is every Sunday at 10:30 am.  We hope to see you this weekend!

"Come and see..." John 1:4

Strategies for Living Out Our Vision

Love God - Invite persons to a life transforming encounter with Jesus in our Worship Celebrations

Love Others - holistic growth and spiritual formation in small groups

Transform the World - transforming the world by serving in our areas of gifts and callings

Love God

We come together to worship -- celebrating God's goodness and faithfulness in our lives. We need encouragement, teaching, the opportunity to give of our resources and a sense of God's dynamic presence in our midst as we come before God.

Love Others

The Christian life is lived out with people. Trusting relationships allow us to know one another deeply and to be known. What we receive from God is always matured, tested and developed in the context of people, like you, in God's Church.  Learn about how to join a small group at Hartzell.

Find a Place to Serve

Each of us can serve in ministry to accomplish Christ’s mission by following Jesus’ example. At Hartzell, we place a high value on using our unique, God-given gifts to serve others. Meaningful service allows us to make the most of our time. Hartzell provides many opportunities to serve and get connected.
